The Doula Seed was created to promote longevity, empowerment, and positive birthing experiences.

 

In light of the alarming maternal mortality rate among Black/African American women, The Doula Seed is dedicated to helping families reach their life expectancy goals and have the best birthing experience possible.

At The Doula Seed, we offer birth and postpartum support, placenta encapsulation, belly binding, holistic postpartum practices, herbal recommendations, birth planning, and more.

 

We are here to make sure your vision for a medicated, unmedicated, home birth, hospital birth, or any combination of the above is supported and nurtured.

Hello,

Welcome to The Doula Seed, where I am dedicated to providing exceptional doula services to support families in their journey toward a positive birth experience and beyond. As a certified and experienced doula, I am passionate about helping my community find comfort, knowledge, and the support they need to make informed decisions.

My passion for supporting families and infants began at a young age and was nurtured by the wisdom of my elders. After completing my degree in Psychology at Spelman College, I founded The Doula Seed with a deep commitment to addressing the disparities in maternal healthcare and lowering the maternal mortality rate, particularly within Black families. 

​

I believe that every family deserves personalized care and unwavering support during the transformative process of childbirth and the postpartum period. My diverse range of training and certifications enables me to provide comprehensive and compassionate care tailored to each family's unique needs.

 

Continual growth and education are essential to me, as I am committed to offering the best possible services to my clients. By staying up-to-date with the latest practices and expanding my knowledge, I can provide evidence-based guidance and support.
